The Russell Oneida moccasin has been in continuous production since the early 1900s. Originally purchased by the U.S. Army for airship builders during WWI, its smooth, tough molded leather outsoles prevented damage to the fabric skins of balloons. This utilitarian design is now favored for driving, silent stalking by bowhunters, and comfortable camp wear.
